The Mells Manor shoot is a well established game shoot providing a good variety of drives in the East Mendip Hills three miles west of Frome. Whole days are available , either 125 or 150 bird days for 8 or 9 guns at £55/bird (no vat) to include all hospitality.
Hospitality
Coffee / tea upon arrival Elevenses in the field. Lunch at the end of the day at the Inn
Topography
The shoot ranges from the steep river valley drive to rolling downland . Drives include mixed deciduous woodland and strategically placed game covert crops.
Conservation Efforts
The estate is included in various DEFRA environmental schemes.
About the hosts
The day will be hosted by Rodney on behalf of the estate and he will look after the guns for the day , and ensure they are placed on their pegs.
