Staple Hill shoot is a traditional run family shoot high up on the blackdown hills over looking the Taunton vale and the quantock hills.

We pride ourselves on quality at an affordable price and we run days from 100 to 150 for teams of 8 guns. Well placed cover crops and ancient wooded hills provide some very exciting and enjoyable shooting, with a mixture of pheasants and partridges all of which are reared on our game farm.

On arrival on a shoot day the guns are treated to bacon rolls and coffee, then off for the first drive the guns are placed by the shoot owner, who has over 40yrs experience in the game shooting circle. After the second drive the guns take out time to enjoy hot soup and snacks along with a small tipple!!! We then proceed for a further 3 drives, where we then retire to the shoot lodge for a hot home cooked meal and drink all of which is included in the price for the day.

Mr. Charles Eyston

Having enjoyed some good shooting with Matt in 2016/17 season, I and some friends joined his Syndicate for the 2017/18 season. It turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Matt and Naomi are very welcoming, and Matt produces some good birds, with some very fast partridge. The shoot always seems to be moving forward, and I understand that new drives are planned for the 2017/18 season.
