Where is our Shoot
Winterburn shoot's 2500 acres encompasses several farms on the Burwarton Estate, situated off the B4364 between the world renowned market towns of Ludlow and Bridgnorth in Shropshire between the Brown & Clee Hills.
What we offer We are a friends & family run shoot where you will enjoy a relaxed, friendly, safe days shooting. We offer traditional 100 bird days offering from our mix of woodland and cover crop drives
Bag size & overages We do not charge overage as we believe that the price we advertise is the price you pay (Any gratuities to the keeper obviously excluded). We adjust our drives to achieve +/- 10% 100 bird days. We accommodate single guns as well as full teams you require.
The Shoot day Guns & friends all meet at the shoot room annexed to Squintum Cottage. Here we all sit down together to enjoy a locally produced, home cooked full English breakfast at 09.00 which won't leave you hungry. (With a little notice we can accommodate special requests or dietary requirements). We aim for a minimum of 4, possibly 5(all driven) drives to maximize your day, with a break for drinks after the second drive and for lunch in the field after the third returning to the shoot room in the afternoon for tea & cakes.
Try a day with us; we can prove to you that the smaller days can be enjoyable.
Local Accommodation We highly recommend the Boyne Arms if guns are looking to to travel up the night before or stay the night after. The pub offers lovely rooms to suit your needs and food is fantastic.

Topography
We are set in rolling countryside with mixed woodland, dingles, arable and grassland.
About the hosts
The host on the the day is Michael he runs the shoot with his Father and has been in the shooting industry since he was 16 when he started his keepering career .

I went to Winterburn last year and had a great day, this year was even better!! Lovely people running the shoot, very professional in everything they do and that includes beaters pickers up and keeper(s). Lovely breakfast and other catering too. Definitely recommend to others in fact took a friend with me this year it was his first game shoot and he really enjoyed himself.

Shot with Chris and Mike last season and was more than happy to return . Not disappointed ! Despite the extremity strong wind and somewhat unpredictable changes of direction during the day the Beating Team Team got birds over the Guns in ample numbers .
