The Sundorne Estate Shoot provides exciting and challenging driven pheasant and duck shooting across 3,000 acres of rolling Estate farm and woodland just to the east of Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The shoot is based around Haughmond Hill and has been running for many decades and, under the careful management of our family and has an established reputation for quality and value for money.
The shoot uses a combination of game cover, stewardship and established woodland to provide testing pheasant and duck throughout the season on a large number of woodland and farm drives. The varied terrain and drives are guaranteed to provide fast and challenging as well as more traditional high pheasants.
Guns may expect to receive a warm welcome and briefing before being escorted by the current Keeper, shooting a couple of drives before stopping for elevens’s in the field. Transport to the drives in the afternoon via our purpose built gun bus may take the guns farther afield to shoot the remaining drives of the day, before returning to the shooting lodge for lunch, wine, and tall stories!
We cater for days for 60+ (upto 120) birds and are competitively priced at £250 per peg including VAT and lunch included. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. Additional birds at £40/pheasant and £30/duck.
Topography
The shoot operates over rolling Shropshire countryside from the heights of the Haughmond hill, down across the small copses, covers and farmland the Severn Valley and into the hillier ground south of Shrewsbury.

Amazing hospitality and great shooting! Everyone involved were very friendly and accommodating, lots of great food and drink through out the day and plenty of laughs! Some really great pheasants to go at and even finished with a duck drive to fill the bag. Will definitely be returning next season!

Have been fortunate to shoot here 3 times during December. 150 bird days with the bag varying from 163 to 207. Fantastic drives of varying types, game keeper is welcoming along with a brilliant team of beaters and catering staff. Elevensies makes a perfect break where you are spoilt, and the close out meal is always enjoyable and friendly. The grounds and backdrops are fantastic in this beatiful Shropshire countryside.

Can’t believe there’s some days available here, this is a hidden gem, affordable shooting in some stunningly scenery, Chris and the team do a great job, i’ll definitely be buying some more days here.
