Driven days of 50-500 birds can be organised providing exciting and spectacular sport for parties of up to 9 guns.
Pheasant shooting takes place in the historic parkland and woodland around Floors Castle and along the banks of the famous River Tweed.
High quality driven birds, combined with the history of the Castle and the scenic countryside of the Scottish Borders makes for a day never to forget.
Roxburghe Estates also run a smaller pheasant shoot in the Lammermuirs where a handful of days are let each season. A second day can be arranged here providing back to back days showing a variety of birds in equally stunning surroundings.
Hospitality
The Floors team aims to provide guns with a truly memorable day with first class hospitality, elevenses at the “Top Fishing Hut” overlooking the river Tweed and lunch at Floors Caste contribute to a fantastic experience.
Topography
There are several exciting drives at Roxburghe, undoubtedly the most popular drives are the famous riverside drives where guns stand on the banks of the river Tweed and birds are flushed from the top of the steep riverbanks over the river.
Conservation Efforts
The Roxburghe Estates team are passionate about conservation, the Estate is Wildlife Estates Scotland accredited and recently won a Silver Purdey award for its Grey Partridge Regeneration Project.
