LOTHIAN ESTATES We are located in the heart of the Scottish Borders, with rolling hills, beautiful landscapes and magnificent views across the Borders region.
The Estate consists of over 20,000 acres of land with woodland and shelterbelt blocks mixed throughout the arable and grassland areas. The River Teviot winds itself down through the valley, giving the advantage of all types of terrain. The estate is centered by the historic Peniel Heugh Monument which can be seen from miles around.
The extensive size and layout of the Estate readily lends itself to many types of shooting. A significant proportion of the pheasant shooting is organised for Lord Lothian and his family, after which we are able to offer mini driven days, walked up shooting or duck & goose flighting at various locations across the Estate. These days are tailored to meet the exact requirements of our customers. Due to popular demand the partridge shoot on the Estate has been extended for the 2016 season and offers a further excellent opportunity to shoot testing birds in a spectacular location.
On request, lunch can be organised on shoot days whether it be a sit down meal in the Lothian room or a picnic style lunch in the field.
Self-catering accomodation is available on the Estate at Nisbet Old Schoolhouse which sleeps up to seven people. Alternatively there are many local hotels and country houses within a short traveling distance to suit all budgets.
Our shooting prices are very competitive and are based on the type and size of day taken. As your day is as important to us as it is to yourself we offer a small, friendly bespoke service and work hard to provide exactly what you are looking for.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lothian Estates.

Mr. Digby Taylor
Eddie helped me and a friend out who were looking for a duck flight before a day's fishing on the Tweed in November. He couldn't have been more helpful and we had a fantastic couple of hours on the banks of the river. Thanks Eddie! Digby Taylor, Director GunsOnPegs

If you are looking for a very well organised and friendly day in a fantastic setting , and whatever the size of the bag you take, big or small, then you need look no further than Lothian Estate. The variation of drives in the stunning scenery of the Scottish Borders suits those looking for 'Archangels' ,or if like me something I can actually shoot !,but are still very testing birds, you will have a memorable day with a mix of good humour and matching hospitality.

For the last 12 years myself and friends have been making our annual trip to this shoot. We started out with a one off rugby boys going shooting in Scotland, the keeper Eddie was a friend of one the group. We had a great weekend so decided to repeat it the following year, we have continued ever since and are booked for 2014. We have always been so well looked after on the shoot they have catered for us, not what suits them we have done early starts for geese and late evenings on the duck ponds. We have done driven and some standing some walking the variety is endless you just have ask. A big plus in the more recent years is accommodation for our twelve has been arranged on a self catering basis with all of us round a table spinning yarns including keepers etc( they appear to like beer too) which makes for a very relaxed social weekend. I cannot recommend this shoot highly enough as I said they will cater to your tastes so much one year they had arranged transport to watch an evening rugby match between Scotland and Ireland A teams knowing our background which was a real added bonus to the weekend. The landscape is beautiful to be in with a combination of steep hills, woodlands, riverside and to date we have always had weather that has not spoilt our pleasurable time in the borders. Getting booking you will not be disappointed.
