A small family run shoot set in the picturesque scenery and countryside of the Scottish Borders Near the historic town of Melrose, We've had the shooting here for around five years in which weve transformed the ground from rough ground to driven shooting to cater to most shooters needs, Here at Eildon View Field Sports we overlook the Beautiful Eildon Hills, The Tweed Vally, and the Border towns of Melrose and Galashiels, On a clear day you can see for a lot further too!

We have a variety of drives on the estate ranging from high to low, fast birds, and quite tight drives which make for some challenging snap shooting, we will normally do around five drives per day, with shooters arriving in the morning to be greeted by the Head Gamekeeper and the shoot captain, followed by two drives, Stopping for refreshments and the trademark sausage at around eleven, then one or two drives, Stopping for lunch which we provide in the cost of the shooting Then on to the afternons shooting with another on or two drives in the afternoon depending on bag and conditions, nearly all drives are accessible by veichle so if your not the most sure on your feet, No problem!

The shoot is run by a father and son partnership, Mick and Steven Charlton, Mick has helped on shoots for over a decade and is also a Ghillie on the River Tweed, And Steven is a student Gamekeeper who will be working through his final year of college in the coming season and studies locally at the Borders College, Which has an excellent reputation for there gamekeepers,

We have dates available for the coming season, in which if you would like to become a syndicate gun we can also make that happen, and all days here with us are fully driven so there will be no walk one stand one sort of thing,

If Your looking for any more information or simply to ask questions about our shooting dont hesitate to send us an email,  and thank you for looking in, we hope to hear from you soon!

Mr. Nick Whitton

My friend and I booked this end of season clear up day as an experiment. The weather was excellent, a matter of luck, but everything else was down to Mick and Steven's skill and expertise. The company was good, the organisation perfect, the birds flew well, and were plentiful given the time of year, and the beaters knew the ground and their jobs. This was a first class experience and we will be back.
