Garynahine Estate

Garynahine Estate is a14,000 acre estate situated on the west coast of the Island of Lewis.  It is well know for it's salmon fishing and for woodcock shoots. From November until January the estate offers driven woodcock shooting for 8-12 guns in some of the islands finest woods. This has been recognised as one of the top woodcock shoots in the UK. 

Our clients in recent years have visited from Holland, France and Germany. We have two woods, the North and South woods, which in the past years have produced up to 90 woodcock in a day. We offer a 3-day fully catered package including accommodation in Garynahine Lodge with guests arriving on Thursday afternoon and departing on Sunday. 

As well as woodcock shooting we can offer our guests evening goose and duck flighting which can be organised by prior arrangement. Transport can be provided as well as the possibility of a sight-seeing trip before departure on Sunday. Travel to the island is by air from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness and by ferry from Ullapool or from Uig in Skye.
