Plas Dinam estate is a shoot with a diverse collection of drives in the most stunning landscape. Formerly the home of Lord and Lady Davies, Plas Dinam house is rich in history and is a truly special place that accommodate a full team of guns.
Sporting lodges:
For guests shooting here, we can offer exclusive use of the outstanding Plas Dinam Country House which is located literally at the foothills of the shoot. This is a place that very few people visit without it leaving a lasting impression on their heart. A beautiful and grand grade II listed mansion, the owners have excelled in creating a warm and inviting house whilst maintaining a wealth of its original character and grandeur. Steeped in history, this has remained the home of the Davies family since it was bought by Lord David Davies in 1884.
The house and grounds are perfectly equipped for shooting guests, with lunches served in a glass roofed courtyard known as the ‘the old Stables’ or the majestic dining hall. The delightful wood panelled billiard room is the perfect place to retreat and relax to recount the days sport.
Hospitality
We pride ourselves on providing the finest hospitality on and off the field.
Our catering staff have a wealth of experience which enables them to produce the most exquisite canapés for elevenses, which is always accompanied by homemade soup, champagne and sloe gin.
Lunch is served on the shoot within a lodge or house which is always enchanting as you are fully immersed within the estate. The chefs produce a dinner of delectable dishes and serve appropriate wine that will complement the food.
We are more than willing to arrange transport, drivers, loaders, instructors, accommodation, and any other requirements that will enhance your shooting trip.
Birds
Vertiginous topography matches the explosive coveys and flushes that entail a day at our Plas Dinam estate. Birds ranging from 40 - 90 yards with a mixture of open-sky drives and snap shooting ensuring an exhilarating day for our guests.

Plas Dinam is set in the heart of Mid-Wales and deep amongst the rugged mountain range which offers draw-dropping views and exciting adventures through thick woodland.

Travel information
Plas Dinam is easy to locate and get to via road, air and rail. The nearest small airport is Welshpool (4 miles), private is Hawarden (45 miles) and commerical is Manchester (80 miles). We have a full concierge service to get you from Jet-to-Peg.

Absolutely stunning day at Plas Dinam, it was sensational from start to finish. The shooting is first class with plenty of very high (many were stratospheric!) challenging birds filling the whole line throughout the day. Thank you to Jack and the rest of the team for such a memorable day
