After an absence of over 6 years, The Glanusk Shoot is back in its second year and being run in hand by the family once again as it used to be. The 2025 season will see the use of the Home Woods including the famous Tan y Lan drive, Church driuve as well as the Foxhall Beat off the western edge of the Black Mountains. Guns who have shot here before will remember ‘Horse Shoe’ and ‘Keepers’ drives in the bowl.
We look forward to welcoming up to 9 guns shooting 200 birds days in October & November, 150 in December and 100 in January. Penmyarth House is available for guns to stay with fine dining , dinner B&B, and with our neighbours, back to back days are very possible, (within an hour) on 3 of the finest shoots in Powys, Mid Wales. The shoot is being run as a Sports Mutual with Guns on Pegs making sure that shooting remains affordable and this new season will see birds from 55 per bird, NO Vat.
We are due to shoot 24 days in the 25/6 season with 10 already reserved. so please book early. All details can be received by sending an enquiry.

Topography
To the east and shooting of the Western Edge of the Black Mountains, the Foxhall beat produces spectacular birds off the mountains side, with a large gorge running down the centre of the Beat, there is open shooting and snap shooting for all levels of guns. To the West the Glanusk Home woods provides shooting from the parkland type shooting to again off the high hills that include the famous Tan y Lan drive (Great Britain's greatest shoots). Spectacular scenery is par for the course on a days shooting, and no gun will ever not stand in awe of their surroundings.
Conservation Efforts
We are working alongside GWCT on a number of conservation projects and look forward to telling guns all about them as they will be placed in amongst the project areas.
About the hosts
Harry Legge-Bourke 80% of the time will be hosting the days shooting, hence the estate will shoot Wednesdays and Saturdays allowing him to host guests both in the house and out shooting.

I have had the privilege to shoot at the stunning Glanusk estate for over 30 years both as a guest and paying punter. Harry Legge-Bourke has recently brought the shoot back after a 6 year gap and I can not recommend it more highly. Other than the shooting Harry offers top notch hospitality and I would encourage any group of guns to book in for the weekend. Highly recommended in my view.
