Founded by Lieutenant-Colonel Francis Morgan MC in 1985, the Glan Honddu Shoot has been run by a syndicate of family and friends for over 25 years.
We are a traditional driven pheasant shoot, which adheres to the highest standards of husbandry, sportsmanship and safety. We have a dedicated team of beaters and pickers-up, many of whom have supported the shoot for many years, and whose experience and knowlege of the Welsh countryside contribute to a truly memorable day.
We are now offering simulated game days throughout the year with up to five drives.
The shoot is centred around a pretty Georgian manor house and parkland on the River Honddu, with secluded valleys, steep banks, woodlands and game crops ensuring high and challenging birds.
At our family run shoot, you can be assured of a very warm welcome and a delicious home cooked menu with a distinctly Welsh flavour. Families, children and dogs are most welcome.

Hospitality
We proudly support Welsh farming and local producers, and all our food is home cooked and freshly prepared. The menu is simple but delicious with seasonal homemade soup, a hearty lunch and a traditional afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes. We can easily help with special dietary requirements as necessary.
Overnight accommodation and dinner are available if required, children and dogs are most welcome.
Topography
The shoot is situated in a deep valley on the banks of the River Honddu, in the stunning Brecon Beacons, ensuring high testing birds in a picturesque landscape.

A splendid shoot with a really enjoyable group of guns and beaters. A lovely setting along the river along with one drive on a ridge in the trees that provided my best ever bag in one drive! The family atmosphere with the entire shoot eating lunch together in the barn is really special. I had the good fortune of participating in two different days there and both provided fond memories for me.

What a wonderful experience!!! I am from the US and the hunt was spectacular!!!! I have been bird hunting my entire life and in many countries. This was by far one of the best shoots! Money well spent and I would highly recommend this team of professionals.

Fabulous shoot - friendly hosts, beaters and pickers up in a stunning location. Very girl friendly for female guns or hangers on, lots of banter, lots of fun, great food and terrific varied shooting. A wonderful day in every way.
