Set in the Tanat Valley with the most amazing views of the welsh countryside is where you ill find our friendly family run shoot. Operated by Will Jones and his wife Helen you will be welcomed here as guests but will leave as friends. Our shoot is run and managed by ourselves with the help of our keeper Matthew Rowson who has many years experience as a gamekeeper. Will has been operating this shoot on his family farm since a young boy and in 2018 he and Helen decided that this well kept secret should be offered commercially so that it could be enjoyed by all. What once started in a small outbuilding to shelter from the welsh weather for elevenses has now grown and a beautiful shoot lodge was put up in 2019 and is now used for our guests. Our drives consist of high shooting with birds descending from high making it a challenging but exciting day
Hospitality
We offer a superb hospitality package on your day which is started with a full breakfast on arrival, followed by elevenses which incorporates Helen's love of cooking with game and followed by a 2 course meal which is lovingly prepared and created by Helen. Helen has spent many years as a chef which makes her the perfect partnership with Will as she is able to create wonderful dishes from our game and inspire people to eat game more
Topography
Our typography is stunning, we are set in the Tanat Valley with high mountain ranges all around. We often get gasps from guests who come here for the first time when they exit the vehicles upon arrival as they are taken aback by the setting
Conservation Efforts
Conservation and Wildlife management figures greatly in our plans here at Cwm Fedw. What was once a sheep farm has now has several ponds added which are rich in abundant life. We also plant trees and hedgerows to encourage natural wildlife habits and have several wildlife areas which are maintained and managed by Will and Matt as well as Will's son Harri
About the hosts
Will makes a wonderful host, living here all his life has given him the knowledge of each drive with his experience of many years as a gamekeeper makes him the perfect choice, that with his friendly outlook and manner instantly puts any new teams at ease or welcomes back teams who have visited us before. Helen is warm and welcoming and will always make sure that you are never hungry !
