This is Portugal at its sporting finest – challenging drives, fast birds, and warm, welcoming hospitality, all framed by breathtaking scenery.
Your experience begins with an overnight stay in Campo Frio’s modern, eight-bedroom lodge. Wake to a hearty Portuguese breakfast on the estate, then draw your peg and meet your personal secretario and loader, who will guide you throughout the day.
Then, it’s time to shoot. Enjoy four to five expertly presented drives, each with its own character, varying in height, pace, and terrain. Midway, pause to savour fine local wines, port, or a cold beer, accompanied by traditional Portuguese snacks – a true taste of Iberian culture.
As the day winds down, return to the lodge to relax with a well-earned drink and dinner before retiring to your single-occupancy room. The partridge season runs from October through mid-April, making it the perfect late-season escape.
Hospitality
Every booking includes three nights in single-occupancy rooms in the newly built lodge, all meals, in-field hospitality, all drinks, and evening wine and port tastings. Campo Frio is more than a shoot – it’s an immersive experience where sport, scenery, and exceptional Iberian hospitality come together for a truly memorable adventure.”
Topography
Campo Frio offers two unforgettable days of classic Portuguese partridge shooting, set against rolling valleys dotted with eucalyptus, cork oak, and olive groves. Guns can expect a mixture of high birds between the valleys and fast, challenging downhill birds on the mountainside. Each day can be tailored to the team’s ability and preferences, ensuring a personalised and rewarding experience.
