The Logiealmond Estate is an exclusive shoot with very few let days released. Our days range from 150-200 birds with Partridges only in September and October and mixed days of Partridges. Pheasants and Ducks in November, December and January. Our Drives are sporting and challenging with birds being driven over deep gullies, woodlands and off our low ground Moorland hill sides. Past Guns have described our birds and drives as Exhilarating, exciting and great fun. Our day starts at our Logiealmond Shoot Lodge where guns are met by a roaring fire, tea/coffee and a Breakfast roll. We will explain about the day, talk about safety and you will select your peg numbers. We will set off at 9:15am to the first drive and our three full keepers will provide you with an excellent day. After two drives we will serve Elevenses of Estate Venison Sausages, Soup and a tipple or two for those not driving. We will then shoot two more drives and have dinner back at The Shooting Lodge. We normally shoot through on The Estate but Guns can choose. We are very flexible on which days we shoot so the choice is yours. At the end of the day you will be given a brace or two of oven ready birds.

Want to stay on the Estate? We are also able to offer accommodation to guns wishing to stay at our totally refurbished or newly built farmhouses, cottages or Barn Conversion, this can be on a Self Catering or Fully Catered basis.

Hospitality

Tea, Coffee and Breakfast roll on arrival, a tipple of Sloe Gin to reveal your peg numbers, Elevenses of our own Estate Venison sausages along with Soup and a Sloe Gin if you wish to partake. At the end of the day we will retire to The Lodge for a meal of Estate prepared food, wine and beer and tales of the day.

Topography

Our Drives range from 180-440m above sea level and with their steep Moorland banks, high Scots Pine woods and waterside stands you will see very sporting and sometimes challenging birds.

Conservation Efforts

At The Logiealmond Estate we in year two of our planned works to create and improve on our protection of our visiting Curlews, Lapwings and Woodcocks, we are proud to be home to over 50 breeding pairs of Curlews. Brilliant shoot! Every aspect was just perfect from the amazing team to the tasty catering. Having the guns cleaned at the end of the day while having tea was a nice touch. The birds flew beautifully and proved challenging at times. There is something for all levels of competency at Logiealmond Estate which ensures everyone has a good fun day. The topography is breathtaking. I will be booking again next season - not one to be missed.

A magnificent shoot on a spectacular highland estate with top class accommodation for all guns to enjoy a real Scottish experience. Excellent welcome with bacon rolls and hot coffee and a wee nip to start the day off. 2 drives before elevenses which comprised of home made bullshot and venison sausage rolls from the estate butchery. 2 more drives then a scrummy lunch washed down with excellent wines then off to the final drive of the day before enjoying some home made scones and a relax around the warm open fire in the shoot lodge. The shooting was incredible - high pheasants sweeping across the valley and down the burn, and partridges like rockets launching off the hill. Interesting and varied drives with something for everyone. A great all round shoot and highly recommended.
