Kinmonth is a stunning family run estate tucked into a hillside in east Perthshire overlooking the Rivers Earn and Tay. The estate is a 45 minute drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The shoot is all walkable, covers 400 acres of mixed topography and has 6-7 drives to suit all abilities. The drives are all Pheasant with some mixed wild game birds. This is the second year Kinmonth has offered pegs to guests. Kimonth has the feel of an Edwrdian Shoot, is famous for being friendly and hospitable serving excellent hot Breakfasts, Elevenses, Hot Lunches with wine and Afternoon Tea.
Hospitality
Kinmonth catering is legendary. Hearty lunches are served in the cosy Bothy and typically include estate shot Venison Stew followed by Rhubarb or Apple Crumble and served with wine. On arrival guests are offered breakfast rolls, tea and coffee. For elevenses home-made Scotch Eggs and shortbread are served with a warming drink. Tea and Cake are offered at the end of the day. All food is prepared at Kinmonth using estate or local ingredients.
Topography
Kinmonth Shoot is on a mixed estate with approximately 400 acres of woodland and arable land. It is predominately south facing with some excellent steep banks and mature woodland, providing the perfect setting to show high birds. The land is very picturesque with beautiful views over the Ochils and the confluence of the River Tay and River Earn. The shoot is compact with Guns able to walk between drives or having a lift in an estate vehicle.
About the hosts
Paul and Louise have developed their family shoot or guests and this is their second year selling shooting at Kinmonth. They have invested in its drives and game crops during 2018. They also sell Roe Deer Stalking and welcome enquiries. They often join guests for lunch.

I have shot twice here, the hospitality is excellent .Friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. The quality of food is first class. I have visited some shoots and they compare to transport cafes. This is a newly formed shoot and has the capability to be turned into a really first class one.
