Hospitality

On arrival guests are welcomed by the host. Coffee, tea and hot morning rolls are served. A traditional “elevenses” break consisting of freshly home made sausage rolls, sandwiches and savoury pastries, along with our own recipe Bullshot, to warm the cockles! Round the day off with light refreshments back at the Lodge. A sit down two course lunch can be arranged and catered for by our chef at an additional cost.

Birds

Offering mixed bag driven shooting guests can expect sporting pheasants and partridges to be flown over steep valleys with the beautiful River Almond providing a picturesque backdrop to the gun stands. We have a range of main drives some which provide the stiffest test to the expert gun, to others more suitable to all levels, in general we have the reputation of really sporting birds and we try to provide this in a perfect mix. Guns taking walked up days will enjoy a varied terrain of snipe bogs, game covers, ponds and white grass moorland.

Topography

Logie Beat runs alongside the steep banks of the River Almond and showcases a diverse landscape of rich farmland and mature native woodland, making for a fabulous day’s shooting.

Scone Home Beat runs alongside the steep banks of the mighty River Tay, the longest river in Scotland. It is set amongst arable and mature woodland making for a diverse and challenging days shooting.

Conservation Efforts

We provide good habitat and protection for red listed wading birds. We also use game mixes conducive to helping other birds thrive.

About the hosts

The Head Gamekeeper is in control of the shoot day working his team to give you the very best experience possible. On our driven days we have a very experienced host who will chaperone the guests throughout the day. The host will be on hand to welcome you, provide hospitality, deliver an explanation of the day's sport, the safety brief and will guide you and impart specific information to make your day as enjoyable as possible. We also provide UTV's to transport the guns around the various drives which is a help to those who are less mobile.

We adapt our packages accordingly to maximise your experience with us.
