Kingston Estate is an iconic shooting estate based in the Chiltern Hills with some of the most exciting undulating country, located just 40 miles from central London. The estate has been in the same family for more than 250 years and has a particularly welcome family feel.

The shoot is a mixed pheasant and partridge shoot over roughly 2,000 acres of prime agricultural land, ancient woodland, cover crops and steep chalk valleys which provide sporting birds in the most idyllic scenery. The variety of birds is exceptional and the whole experience of the day sets Kingston apart from many other shoots.

One of the highlights for the shoot teams is the welcome they receive into our home at Kingston House and the fantastic lunch at the end of the day in the dining room.

The team are happy to work around people’s preferences for the whole day and they like to accommodate everyone’s needs where possible.

A recent testimonial:

“The team at Kingston take great pleasure in running a very professional outfit whilst enjoying the day. The whole experience felt most welcoming and enjoyable. The shooting was terrific, the food delicious and the company even better. Will definitely take another day next year"

Hospitality

A range of options are available when it comes to catering and the team at Kingston are very accommodating and adaptable to the requirements of the shoot team. We are fortunate to have a five star caterer based on site and the shoot is renowned for the excellent quality catering and service.

Kingston Estate is very easily accessible from London and the West with excellent transport links, though if you would prefer to stay nearby we can recommend great local places to stay and eat the night beforehand if travelling far.

Topography

The shoot offers a variety of shooting from beautifully maintained ancient woodland through to undulating arable land. A renowned stretch along the Chiltern Escarpment boasts steep chalk hills, producing sporting birds from a great height gathering tremendous speed off the escarpment twisting and turning in the wind.

Noticeable woodland drives are The Box, Old Man’s Grave, Highwood and Grove Wood. There are also phenomenal game cover drives such as Crowell Knoll, Old Mans Strip and Robs' Bank. Spoilt by such variety in topography, the estate produces well spread and sporting birds.

About the hosts

The estate is owned and run by the family and as such it has a very welcoming feel.

Mr. Mark Livesey

I very pleasant surprise and exceptional quality shooting. High birds through woodland clearings in some cases, great sport.
