Hare’s Leap Shoot is a well-established family-run shoot located in beautiful South Oxfordshire. The shoot is set on a privately owned farm with access to 5,000 acres for shooting and is easily accessible from major road links and only 15 minutes from the M40.
This season we have mixed shooting days of pheasant and French partridges available along with the opportunity for a duck drive should you wish. Your host, Mark Brown, plans each day meticulously, and out of the available 24 drives, a selection will be chosen on the day to take advantage of wind direction and weather conditions so we can provide you with the best possible experience.
We welcome guns who wish to bring their own dogs if they wish but we have a team of picker-ups and beaters with dogs who have been with us for many years. All transport around the shoot is provided.

Hospitality
Tea and coffee are provided in the morning and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available during the day
Topography
Our arable farm is interspersed with woodland and game cover crops both providing exceptional habitat for game birds. Hillsides and treetops will encourage birds to gather speed and height during the drives.
Conservation Efforts
The land has been planted with woodland and hedgerows line the fields creating wonderful habitats for a wide variety of wildlife, plus we are a part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme with 35 acres of stewardship planted this year.
About the hosts
You will be looked after by Mark Brown, who has 30 years’ experience in looking after teams and ensuring their day goes smoothly and to plan. Mark shoots himself and oversees the rearing of the pheasants on the farm. When mature enough the birds are released and fed on site helping us to hold and then flush the birds for the drives.
