Evenlode Valley Shoot, is a small private shoot, set on a gently undulating farm situated on the banks of the River Evenlode, on the Gloucestershire/ Oxfordshire Border, about 20 miles north of Oxford.
Starting at 09:30, we travel round in a shoot trailer for the day, breaking for elevenses and a light lunch in the field, although, we don’t like to hang about as we want to show some more birds.
We aim for a mixed bag of about 75 Pheasant and Partridge, , we seek to have about 5 drives, to ensure no-one is left out of the shooting (as far as possible) some from cover crops, others set in attractive mature woodland.
We try to provide a mix of partridge and pheasant in each drive, and the mix of drives ensures that the day is suitable for new beginner or hot shot alike.
The day is rounded off by a meal in the Local pub .
Hospitality
It is up to you , refreshments can be provide at lunch time, or we can adjourn to the local pub for a meal afterwards.
Topography
The land is gently undulating valley bottom.
About the hosts

We had a thouroughly enjoyable shoot here last year, with excellent shooting, lovely scenic countryside and finished off with a fantastic home made evening meal. Look forward to another shoot this year.
