Scrainwood Estate Shoot

Scrainwood Estate is a renowned shoot situated in the spectacular Upper Coquetdale region of Northumberland and lies within an area of "Outstanding Natural Beauty" providing ideal topography in the foothills of the National Park. Scrainwood offers a genuine opportunity to enjoy and shoot birds of exceptional quality and will test even the very best of guns.

Pace Hill for example is renowned throughout parts of the UK as a truely magnificent drive, sometimes lasting 30 - 40 minutes or more, followed by other well known drives such as Clarky's, Rigg Wood and the Gulley !

Scrainwood specialises in Driven Partridge from mid September throughout the rest of the year with Pheasants introduced gradually by the end of October. Duck have been introduced to vary the bag species and even the odd grouse have been spotted.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed atmosphere for your ultimate enjoyment, starting in the Shoot Lodge with coffee and "refreshments" before heading out into the Estate for two or three drives prior to a full lunch back in the Lodge, after lunch more action from a couple of drives prior to tea and cakes before departure. Lunch can be taken at the end of the day if preferred.
