Beaufront Castle Shoot

The Castle was acquired by the Cuthbert family in the early 19th century when the present, imposing castellated Gothic revival style mansion was built. This incorporates parts of the 17th-century house and Pele Tower recorded in 1415. Every room offers vast comfortable spaces, from the grand Drawing Room with huge windows and stunning views of the valley below to the stained glass stairway with gothic stone work and the incredibly spacious and unique bedrooms. The grand inner hallway provides both a dining space and Billiards table for post dinner competitions! The large well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room offer space for you to prepare celebratory meals or for a caterer to work. The Castle offers 8 bedrooms sleeping up to 16 guests and 6 bathrooms.

The estate of 3000 acres runs up hill from the River Tyne surrounded by beautiful parkland, ancient woodland, and game crops. Further North on the estate we head up towards Hadrian's Wall where the land transforms into a vast upland area filled with bracken beds, snipe bogs, woodland and gulleys.

John Stokoe, Head Keeper has ran the shoot at Beaufront for the last 11 years having started his gamekeeping career here as an apprentice in 2003. Alongside John both the owner, David Cuthbert and the the team at Wooden Star Cottages, who manage the property, are on hand during both the booking and planning process and during your stay to help facilitate all the requirement for your stay.
