Sleights Moor

Teams are welcomed with bacon rolls, tea/coffee, etc in the morning in a comfortable, bespoke shoot cabin followed by hearty elevenses and then a simple lunch (but other catering options are available upon request). Tea/coffee is also offered at the end of the day.

Guns can expect high pheasant and partridge and a variation of drives. We pride ourselves on each drive being unique with pheasants and partridges on all drives whilst catering for all levels off experience to ensure all guns enjoy their day.

Based on the beautiful North York Moors moorland and moorland edges with some woodland and a fantastic view over the coast and Yorkshire Esk Valley.

Conservation is at the heart of the shoot. Best practice is adhered to when it comes to animal/bird welfare and moorland/habitat management. We are involved in various environmental schemes such as HLS and SFI and the moor has the highest designations for vegetation (SAC) and nesting birds (SPA) and is all SSSI. The Estate has supported and been part of the game assurance initiatives.

Our Head Keeper Jeff Cairnduff hosts and runs your day meaning any teams get a personalised laid back day. Jeff prides himself in ensuring guns are well taken care off and leave the day having enjoyed themselves.

Rural location so guns would need their own transport. 3 miles from Whitby.

We have accommodation available for shooting parties. Hillside Farm has 10 ensuite bedrooms in a private location with great views and is comfortable for up to 22 guests. Booking via Yorkshire Escapes.
