Lunshaw House

The shoot is in the North Yorkshire National Park just east of the village of Boltby. Sitting between Hawnby and Murton and adjacent to Boltby Forest the ground covers 600 acres of varied terrain. Testing partridge and high (but shootable) pheasants are driven from woods and game crops across valleys and from the moor edge. ideal bag size is 200-250 birds we generally shoot on Fridays and Mondays but will seek to accommodate your preferred day of the week if possible. Guns may use their own 4x4 's and gun's partners and dogs are welcome.

Hospitality

A mid morning break is taken in the field and lunch is also provided.
Our hospitality is something we are well known for in the local shooting area.

Topography

Terrain is steep valleys and moor edge. birds are driven from a mixture of woodland and game crops. Lunshaw is a compact estate with drives along both sides of two valleys. From the high points there are serious views down the vale of York and across to Ilkley.

About the hosts

Lunshaw is owned by Mark and Sandra Stephenson who often attend on the day with their badly behaved spaniels and the day is usually hosted by Simon Williamson, a family friend who just loves to host shoot days or Lee Hart (shoot manager).

Mr. Martin Poulter

Shot there in dec 14 after a guns on pegs inquiry and found it fantastic for high driven pheasants and some of the best partridge I have seen. So much so took my wife to shoot with two friends and the four of us had another excellent day in jan 15 shooting a 330 bird day mid jan in fog and snow but the birds were stunning.will be booking lots more days. Thanks Charles.

Mr. alan fletcher

I have shot at Lunshaw house on numerous occasions throughout the season and have never been disappointed with the standard of the birds presented at this wonderful Yorkshire shoot, complete with outstanding hospitality during and at the end of the day.
