Black Park is situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors with undulating terrain on arable and grassland with views of the moors, fantastically beautiful at all times of the year. The drives are almost all out in the open with good views of all the gun line. The drives vary with different content on all. I joined Black Park shoot as a quarter gun in 1968 and have been running the shoot now for the past 35 years and still finding new drives and improving old ones. I run the shoot for fun and get my pleasure from seeing others enjoying themselves.
I am able to offer morning coffee with a bacon sandwich, mid morning drinks, lunch and afternoon tea for those who require it. There are quality hotels in the area well able to suit all tastes.
The shoot is run as a hobby letting only a few days per season and is personally hosted by myself.

We are now in our second year of shooting at Black Park and it is without doubt one of the finest shoots in Yorkshire. First class sporting birds to rival the best in Yorkshire, wonderful hospitality, and great value, you wont find better sport for the price anywhere.

I shot here for the first time in October this year (2011) and was so impressed with the quality of the birds and the wonderful Yorkshire hospitality, that I immediately booked a further 9 days this season. Every shoot day I have attended this season has been of the same high standard, a lovely bunch of people, first class sporting birds and wonderful hospitality. I have met guns who have shot here regularly for the past 25 years or more and its easy to see why!
