The Burton Agnes estate is set over 3,500 acres at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds and is mainly a pheasant shoot with few a partridge. The shoot has many different drives including woodland and game strip drives.
We also have the shooting rights on our neighbouring estate Lowthorpe and Harpham which is very similar to our Estate. Lowthrope has some wetland SSSI's which gives us some exciting wild wildfowl shooting in the early season. The total acreage we shoot over on the two estates is 7,000 acres, giving us 25 drives to choose from.
The shoot is located about 20 miles East of York. Our let days are usually purchased for either 100-120 bird day or 140-160 bird days.
The shoot is run in an efficient and relaxed manor by three gamekeepers, friendly staff and a humoured beating team.
The shoot has a relaxed atmosphere creating a fabulous days sport for everyone involved.

Topography
The terrain on the estate is relatively flat making for easy walking and is ideal for beginners. The land is mainly arable with woods, coverts and copses spread all over the estate making for some exciting low ground shooting. The early season shooting is mainly from game crops and later season shooting from woods and coverts.

Shot here as part of a novice day, i had a thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish. Shoot staff were very friendly and great to get along with, a great part of the day was when guns and beaters all had lunch together and the banter was flowing well. i will defiantly be returning !
