A family shoot run for 0ver 50'years and rarely let days but occasionally available. One of the best shoot huts with a superb collection of taxidermy. PResenting some of the best drives in Norfolk. One of the most welcoming shoots with coffee tea and bacon rolls on arrival, two drives then elevenses, two drives then lunch which is very relaxed and not rushed at all. Two more drives and then tea. We can do whatever you wish if you require this format to be changed.
The days available are flexible so please call me to discuss .
Numbers of guns and birds to be shot etc can be discussed but I guarantee a good and reasonably priced day for any number of guns. Michael.
Hospitality
Second to none. The shoot hut is a hidden gem full of taxidermy and objects of interest. Totally self sufficient and lunch is likely to be from the shoot ranging from wildfowl ,partridge, pheasant ,Chinese water deer or muntjac depending on the season. If anyone wants to stay before or after the shoot do please ask if you need and help in finding accommodation nearby.
Topography
The shoot is very much away from it all on the Norfolk Broads and surrounds a 40 acre flood of water that is a haven for wildfowl. In the first half of the season we tend to just shoot the open ground and maize crops all of which have grown well this year and they are producing some excellent partridge shooting.
About the hosts
Michael FitzRoy and the keeper Milke Topping together with the under keeper Ian Stimpson have run Hardley shoot for approximately 15 years and before this Michaels father, Lord Edward ran the shoot with Mike Toppings father Dick as head keeper for the previous 35 years.
