Foulden Latimer Estate

Set out to produce high and curling birds, with partridges bursting over hedges and belts in the Autumn, then for mixed pheasant and partridge days later in the season with the cover crops being set out so the birds curl out of game crops and fly across the prevailing wind. Guns draw pegs before the first drive and are given a numbering card which shuffles all the guns up between drives so we mix up who you are standing next to on the different drives. Foulden Latimer is a very good, well established and professionally keepered friendly family shoot which also sells a few days. 

The estate is set over 2,500 acres in the natural beauty and habitat of the Brecklands, close to Thetford Forest. We usually shoot three to four drives in the morning and then one or two drives after lunch. In December and January there is the chance to shoot Emilies, a drive which has guests talking about it long into the next season.

Bags of between 200 - 300 can be arranged

The Estate has it's own 9 bedroom gastropub, The Bedingfeld Arms, where we have lunch and which can also be booked by a single or full team of guns. ( It is adviseable to book rooms well in advance ). Set in the quiet and historic village of Oxborough and opposite the National Trusts 15th Century Oxburgh Hall, it has open log fires, a great oak bar, local real ales, good and yet sensibly priced wines and fine but informal dining it makes a great place to stay for a shooting party.

We provide a shoot bus for all the guns and guests, as we find the day is much more memorable and enjoyable for everyone if you can travel together between drives.

Morning coffee, Elevenses, a delicious lunch with fine wines and afternoon tea and crumpets are all included in the day.
