A fantastic location in the shadows of the black mountains providing some rolling hills, valleys and banks from which we produce some excellent sporting birds.
A mixture of open ground and woodland drives including well positioned game crops are the perfect terrain for naturally challenging birds.
All the drives are located within a short walk or gun bus ride.
We have one duck drive which produces some excellent sporting driven duck, but is optional for those who wish to shoot and can be discussed with keeper.
The excellent quality pheasants released on our shoot are produced from our own laying stock of naturally highflying breeds and hatched and reared on farm.
Hospitality
Teas and coffees are provided on arrival and lunchtime as well as port included. Lunch can either be homemade soup and crusty bread which is included or a more substantial meal of pheasant casserole on a bed of mash can be provided at a cost per head. There is accommodation available within the local area and a few traditional local pubs for an evening meal and drink to ponder the day.
About the hosts
Here at Campston Hill Shoot we try and create an informal atmosphere and are very welcoming to all.
It is a family run shoot, with a naturally relaxed attitude and so we endeavour meet any requests that you may require.
The owner/keeper is very experienced with over 20 years of game keeping and gamerearing and providing excellent days for a variety of guns and their teams. We have an excellent team of beaters and picker ups that work tirelessly to provide some excellent sport. With a wealth of experience the keeper will do his upmost to give his guests an enjoyable day.
