Midlothian Shoot

Midlothian shoot is based just outside Penicuik almost 10 miles from Edinburgh. Amidst the lovely scottish countryside our shoot is quite small but well organised. The largest part of the shoot is based at Mount Lothian, with several good pheasant drives. In addition to this we also offer walked up days with pheasant and snipe and occasional woodcock.

We also have another couple of excellent drives a few miles down the road . The closest is auchencorth where we have a mix of partidges and pheasant. its a lovely place with execllent views of the pentland hills in  the backdrop.

Lastly we have two woods near penicuik estate with are close to each other , These are named the joppa and walston march. Both have pheasants but it has a good history of snipe.

We are a friendly bunch, we have a small team of reliable and very good beaters and go out our way to welcome anybody that would like a days shooting.

We can recommend local place sto stay, eat and can also provide transport for those who wish to have a wee dram or too!
