The shoot is a privately owned estate and covers 200 areas of mixed woodland with adjoining fields. There is a lake and 4 flight ponds.
The owner takes a keen interest in the shoot and shoots on some of the days.
Pheasant poults are released each year into 4 release pens within the woodland.
Ducks are also released on the lake, however, there are plenty of wild ducks around as we are located in the Trent valley, mallard and teal.
All shooting is driven with 8/9 guns standing.
Hospitality
Our 5 days shooting, 3 Saturdays and 2 Thursdays, will be informal and relaxing with the aim to have an enjoyable day for all. You will need to bring along your packed lunch and drinks, there is normally a sloe gin making the rounds.
Topography
Would normally use two 4x4 to take guns to the pegs. Easy walking throughout.
