Lincolnshire Heath Shoot

• Coffee before a 9:10am start.
• Late morning: elevenses (including sausages, pork pie, sloe gin & champagne)
• Lunch: 3-course lunch at the House, with drinks.
• After shooting tea - sandwiches, tea, cake and biscuits.

Accommodation can be provided for guns on the estate, by arrangement.

Partridges shown over hedgerows. Long established drives and very experienced keepers present excellent driven shooting. 12 drives so ability to drive successfully whatever the wind direction. Normally 6 drives shot during the day.

On the Lincoln Heath, the shoot is on arable farming country with with hedges, narrow belts of trees & some larger wooded areas.

Yes. Conservation is built into how the land is farmed and keepered. We take part in the annual farmland bird count, which tracks species numbers year on year and shows the habitat is working. We've put up owl and raptor nest boxes across the estate to support barn owls and kestrels. And a good part of the ground is entered into government Countryside Stewardship schemes - wild bird seed mixes, field margins, hedgerow and habitat management - which provide year-round food and cover not just for gamebirds but for songbirds, pollinators and other wildlife. The shoot and the wider ecosystem benefit from the same measures.

Hosted by the owners of the estate, they are well accustomed to hosting shooting parties. The atmosphere is fun, supported by a gun bus which all the guns travel around in.

Guns to arrange their own transport - 3 hours drive from Central London. Pick ups can be arranged from either Lincoln or Grantham stations.
