Our Shoot,
Centered around the Hamlet of Eagle Hall, our shoot covers an area of 4000 acres split into 20 separate drives. It includes 250 acres of mature English woodlands, spinneys and game cover crops. The varied topography allows us to show challenging and testing sport to all abilities.
The area around the shooting lends itself to traditional partridge shooting driving birds over well-established hedgerows. These large open fields hide a mix of partridge and pheasant, the sport is varied and challenging. The two drives along Eagle ridge, add a variation in topography and strong pheasants flying home, provide testing sport.
South of Eagle Village and around Eagle Hall is different again and lends itself to showing pheasants. Large arable fields, dissected with well-established hedgerows, rolling topography with the addition of mature woods and spinneys. Don’t let your guard down in this area and get too focused on the pheasants, there also partridges, to provide varied sport for the guns and to ensure a mixed bag at the end of the day.

Wayne and Cheryl hosted us for a cracking day on this developing shoot which is being reinstated. Although the topography doesn't lend itself to stratospheric birds we had a wonderful day with some challenging shooting over mixed ground of woodlands and open fields. Wayne was able to show us great variety in the sport - partridge over hedges, pheasant both over open ground and in woodland, high fast duck from flight ponds and, on the final drive some spectacular high birds. Everybody on the day, beaters, pickers up and team at the lodge were friendly, chatty and eager to help...birds were never left to run if they could be found and picked but the dog work was never intrusive. We also felt that the emphasis was on giving us a really good full day of shooting and not on keeping strictly to the bag - we didn't. The hospitality was very warm, the food excellent (Cheryl's cakes and sponges were marvellous) and we would heartily recommend that people get in touch early next season to avoid the rush!

As a team we've been on many driven days and Eagle Hall is one of the best for many reasons. So friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive. Here's something, how many shoots have you been on where they have offered you a choice of cake for your afternoon tea - made specially during the morning by hostess Cheryl, wife of shoot manager Wayne. it's that sort of effort that really makes Eagle Hall stand out. Our day, six guns, mixed bag, was excellent. The drives were all different, offering birds from cover crops and woodland. There were plenty of birds too, pheasant, partridge and duck. The shooting was well spread out, too - important on a smaller driven day. Food, all provided by Cheryl, was top notch. Lunch taken in the shoot lodge and tea and that cake at the end of the day. We're were well looked after - nothing was too much trouble. No doubt we will return. The cake, by the way, was chocolate.

Had a wonderful day shooting here on Monday the 17th. There was bright sunshine in between clouds and a nice breeze. Our quarry, mainly partridge (what we had asked for) flew very well giving us both traditional as well as high birds, pheasant flew well for being fairly early in the season giving some lovely shooting. Hospitality was spot on and the whole team was very friendly. Would recommend this shoot as my team all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, so much so we will be planning to come back later in the season.

Had two days at Eagle Hall both of which were first class ! A very welcoming shoot with a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere to the days which produced excellent traditional partridge shooting. Thankyou.

A big thank you to the team at Eagle hall. I have just shot my first day at driven partridges this season and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The hospitality was first class and the birds flew well. See you all again in October for a day on the pheasants. Wonderful day
