Acthorpe Sporting Ltd

Situated in the Lincolnshire Wolds just west of Louth, Acthorpe Sporting offers high quality driven mixed pheasant and partridge shooting.

Previously run by the late Mr David Nickerson, we offer a mixture of drives from strategically positioned game cover and wooded valleys.  Shooting over 4250 acres and approximately 25 drives such as the Violet Bank, Bunkers Bank, The Ash Tree and Uncle Jims, we provide high challenging birds often curling in the westerly wind.

Shooting 8/9 guns the day can be tailored to suit your every need.  Transport is provided in the form of our gun bus which comfortably seats ten or if you prefer you can use your own transport.  We are also very happy to see guns working their own dogs.

Meeting at an Oak Ridge Hotel, The Brackenborough, on the edge of the shoot, for coffee and briefing, the day is taken at a leisurley rate stopping for drinks after the second drive and then again at around midday for soup and lincolnshire pork pie.  At the end of the day it is back to the Brackenborough for a meal in our own private room with time to relax and reflect on the day.
