Skeffington Shoot

Our guns are greeted with tea, coffee and biscuits at the start of the shoot day. Sloe gin and bubbles are provided alongside varying snacks and cakes after the first two drives. Following the last drive guns are provided with a luxury buffet at the local pub.

We can show some truly magical pheasants and Partridge with lovely rolling topography.

At Skeffington we are extremely lucky to be able to offer a real variety topographically. Through the season we show birds over lowly set pasture, thick managed woodland and from cover over arable farm land.

Benjamin Farnsworth and his Father John run the shoot and host each day. John has shot at Skeffington for over 25 years and has farmed the area all of his life. He now runs his agricultural contracting business from the farm at Tilton on the Hill. Ben also works in the family business and has been attending the shoot since he was 8 - firstly standing the peg with John, then as a beater and now managing the shoot.
