Set in the beautiful Bowland fells, Wyresdale Park Shoot has a rich history of quality hunting. The picturesque views of the Bowland Fells, Lancashire coast and beyond to the Lakeland Fells provide the perfect backdrop to your day. On a clear day it is possible to see the Isle of Man and the Great Orme on the North Wales coast.
You will enjoy 5 drives, on and around our own fell, Nicky Nook. The quarry will depend on the date chosen, expect predominately partridge with one drive of duck up until the start of October when the pheasants will be at their best. From then, you will enjoy 3 or 4 drives of high pheasant with plenty of partridge around and again, one drive of duck.
The fells have plenty of wild birds such as meadow pipits and skylarks as well as some more ellusive tree pipita and yellowhammers. The heather covered moorland includes a variety of terrain which makes for an interesting and exciting day.
Bill is our experienced Gamekeeper who will oversee the day. He will meet you bewteen 9am and 9.30am at Wyresdale Hall where you can make aquaintances and enjoy some tea/coffee. If you want breakfast, this can be arranged at The Priory Scorton which is a 2 minute drive away, we advise getting there for 8am. Homemade lunch will be provided and preferential rates offered at local hotel/restaurant for the evening.
