Summerer Shoot is a family run shoot situated in West Lancashire, placed in a beautiful part of the countryside between Blackpool and the city of Preston. We are predominantly a lowland shoot, but aim to achieve sporting game with well placed cover crops and pegs.
Our shoot mainly consists of driven pheasant and duck, but there may also be Red-legged partridge and the occasional wild teal. The drives are a mixture of woodland and purpose placed game crops, providing our guests with a varied and sporting day.
Here at Summerer Shoot we try to emphasize hospitality as much as the shooting itself; all our guns leave with their belly full and a smile on their face.
Hospitality
Start the day with pulling the pegs with refreshments when you arrive of locally made shortbread and a drink.
Elevenses in the field if weather permits which is sloe Gin and champagne and a nibble.
Lunch at 1/1:30pm, spectacular 4 course lunch home made here at the farm. You won’t go hungry
Refreshments at the end of the day as you please
Birds
Well places cover crops and pegs to make the best of the training for sporting birds
Topography
We are predominantly a lowland shoot with a few shallow hills and valleys. Our drives include a number of woodlands, ponds and game cover crops.
Conservation Efforts
All the land that the shoot is run on is in a higher lever stewardship scheme, the cover crops planted are also to benefit natural wildlife as well as planting lots of new tress and hedges over the past years

The shoot on the day is family run and shoot always has a relaxed atmosphere making an enjoyable day out

The shoot is close to main road networks and just 4 miles from junction 3 M55
Final thoughts
The shoot had been running for nearly 20 we are always looking how to tweak drives to work better as the years have gone by

Great shoot very welcoming. Excellent hospitality and great variety with the shooting. Partridge, pheasant, mallard and teal shot. Shoot room is unique with it being over the farm dairy.

Had my first day down at Summerer Shoot this season. Welcomed with tea and coffee upon arrival followed by an introduction and a plan of the day. There was a range of birds for experienced shots and also those just getting into it. Lunch was all you could ask for soup for start then a hearty main followed by warm dessert with many refreshments on offer. Would 100% recommend for a group day out personally i will definitely be back next season!

Great to see Rob and the family again. They really do go above and beyond to make sure that the day is enjoyable. 3rd drive was something else, Able to pick and choose which duck to go for as they just kept circling. Will be back again soon
