The shoot is situated at the end of the Pentland hills just 40 minutes from Edinburgh and 55 minutes from Glasgow. It covers 10,000 acres and stretches from high ground at over 1000 feet all the way down through ancient beech woodlands and into bog ground where snipe and geese are common.

A typical day

Start the morning in the ancient beech woodlands and have challenging birds flying fast overhead. Then move down to the Medwyn river and wait below the steep sided banks where birds are pushed off the game crops above you. Move over to the marshland and try your skills driven snipe come darting overhead, as you crouch in a nearby ditch. After soup and refreshments why not head to the Boreland woods and see the high birds being driven off Raggit Hill.

After a delicious homemade lunch you will maybe go to the 'Whins' at Dunsyre Hill where fast, high birds are always sporting. Then try some quick fire shooting as the birds fly off the high woods at the Broomie Law. If you still have the energy then head to the lochan, next to the Medwyn and wait in the dusk to have a go at one of the 3,000 geese that come in.

You will be sure to have a fun, memorable day and will be well looked after to ensure you have plenty opportunities all through the day on the diverse at beautiful landscape of
