Glen Dye is situated about 30 miles south west of Aberdeen and is a spectacular, secluded and picturesque spot for a shoot. Driven by a strong hospitality led ethos, we offer a warm, friendly welcome, and deliver some of the best shooting in the area. Varied drives (some challenging and providing some excellent high flying birds), accommodate all abilities - driven days typically yield up to 200+ birds including pheasant, partridge and duck. Run by head keeper Keith Wood, this shoot is based at Glen Dye Estate, where parties gather for the start of the day at the Bridge of Dye Steading in our newly refurbished Library, and again for lunch (full hospitality available).
Easily accessible from Aberdeen, Dundee & Edinburgh airports.
Accommodation available on site in our beautiful, design led, self catering accommodation (catering available on request).
Hospitality
Full hospitality package available, to include:
Coffee/tea & bacon rolls on arrival
Hot soup for elevenses
Two-course lunch at 1pm
Afternoon tea and cake at the end of the shoot day.
Topography
An interesting and excellent mix of drives covering open farmland, forest, riverside, and some high ground. Spectacular scenery with easy walk out to pegs. Excellent high-flying birds to test the best shot.
Conservation Efforts
Glen Dye have recently undertaken a peatland restoration project alongside The James Hutton Insitute at Glensaugh - the results of which are already taking shape with wildlife returning to the area in abundance.
