With fantastic contours and stunning scenery, the long establish and well respected Crundale Shoot is perfectly located on the edge of the North Downs to produce excellent driven pheasants.
Crundale really is a gem. Over the past 30 years, new plantations and cleverly positioned cover crops have bridged steep, sweeping valleys to create some terrific drives - Trimworth, Ashenfield, Stumps and Fanscombes are all renowned locally, with Trimworth recently featured in The Field magazine.
The shoot covers approximately 2,500 acres and consists of two main beats, Olanteigh and Crundale. With over 20 drives to choose from, there is plenty of variety.
The days are always intended to be friendly and relaxed. Guns meet in the Shoot Lodge for coffee and a stiffener to start, refreshments are served part-way through the morning before a sit-down lunch is taken back in the Shoot Lodge. Following one or two further drives in the afternoon, the day finishes with tea and cake. The perfect day in the perfect setting!

Considering the covid restrictions the shoot was run very well. We were looked after extremely well throughout the day in a very covid safe way. All the team from the captain to the beaters were very friendly. The only reason I have marked the food down a bit is because of the covid restrictions they were unable to serve the normal food I am sure under normal circumstances this also would have merited 5 stars. I would certainly like to shoot here again.
