A small syndicate pheasant shoot of 8 guns near Stockbury in Kent has one half gun available for the 2015/16 season.
The shoot consists of approximately 100 acres of private woodland providing seven drives over varied terrain and the guns stand on every drive.  The wood is surrounded by farmland, most of which we have permission to stand guns on and beat.
We release a minimum of 1100 pheasants from two main pens in addition to the resident population which we estimate averages between 100-200 birds.
Our season starts on the last weekend in October, providing a minimum of 8 days shooting with 1 day normally reserved for the beaters.  A typical day consists of 3-4 morning drives, self-catered lunch followed by 3 afternoon drives with dinner available in the local hostelry if required.
Bag averages have varied significantly in recent years due the crop rotation policies of the local farmers but we expect to achieve 35-50 birds early season rising to 60-70 birds mid- late season, with late season bags of 100 plus seen in the past, depending on the guns!
This is a friendly and relaxed working shoot but full & half guns are expected to attend a reasonable number of pre-season work parties and to be available for mid-season feed rotas.

Full gun - £1,100
Half gun - £550
