The estate is situated in the heart of the Tuscan countryside close to Barberino Val d'Elsa. We show very good birds from both game cover crops and mature hard woods high up on either side of the main valley. Shooting mostly double gun days birds are driven in the traditional British way producing high, fast and curling targets. All the game birds are reared on the estate by British gamekeepers and released by the middle of June to produce fully feathered and strong birds.
We can also offer Roe deer and Wild boar shooting at certain times from high seats.

Hospitality

We can arrange accommodation, airport transfers (Pisa approximately 50 mins, Florence 40 mins) and gun hire. Also the possibility to arrange a back to back day with another estate.

Topography

The main valley of the shoot is wide and deep with a number of narrower valleys running away from it. High and steep mature hard wood plantations on the one side and game cover crops are planted on the other.

Conservation Efforts

The shoot continues to feed and water throughout the year as we have many wild broods of pheasants and partridge. We have started to release Grey partridge (perdix perdix) in small numbers to try and establish a wild population.

I had shot at Vico d'Elsa several times in the past as a guest of the Owner. Always having a very enjoyable day. In 2021 it was possible for the first time for me to take a full day for a team from the UK. Having missed out in 2020 due to the pandemic I was looking forward to my return. The shoot has now employed a British gamekeeper and the results are spectacular. The lay of the land lends itself to showing very testing birds. Add to this the amazing Italian food, wine and hospitality it is now up there with one of the best places I've ever shot at.
