Ben Alder Estate

Our guests can expect a relaxed yet well-organised day with exceptional hospitality and sport. From warm drinks on arrival to elevenses in the field and a sit-down lunch, every detail is taken care of so guns can focus on enjoying the day. Locally produced food and drink are an integral part of the experience, much of which is sourced from trusted Highland suppliers and crafted in our own kitchens.

Guns will be challenged by high, fast-flying birds driven over dramatic hilltops and lochside plantations. We aim to provide exciting and varied sport that makes the most of the estate’s topography.

Our shoot is set across a striking Highland landscape, with rolling hills and steep lochside plantations offering both scenic beauty and natural challenges for the day’s drives.

We are deeply committed to conservation and work hard to maintain the balance between sporting interests and the environmental responsibilities of Ben Alder and the Drumochter Hills SAC. Our grouse moor is managed to the highest legal and regulatory standards, and we collaborate closely with neighbouring estates to support the wider ecosystem.

Your day will be hosted by our experienced Head of Game, who ensures a smooth, enjoyable experience in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.
