Balavil Estate

Upon arrival at the Meeting Room, you will be greeted with coffee and a bacon roll. Elevenses is served out on the hill after the 2nd drive with homemade hot sausage rolls and home baking along with tea, coffee and drinks. Lunch is served in the Meeting Room which comprises of 2 courses, consisting of soup with crusty bread followed by a hot meal using our own game. Upon return from the final drive, afternoon tea will be available. Our cook will ensure you do not go hungry. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Balavil is very fortunate in having the Raitts burn that flows down the centre spine of the Estate. This burn runs in a gulley and the majority of drives are located within. This offers reasonably easy access and some challenging partridge and pheasant drives.

Balavil Estate have planted over 330,000 native trees on the hill ground as part of a regeneration programme. The guns will be able to see this work when they are on the 4 Bridges Drive. If they are lucky they may be able to see our resident Golden Eagle or the Sea Eagle that regularly passes over the Estate.

The Estate are keen supporters of the peatland restoration programme and have just completed the latest section.

You will be greeted by a senior member of Balavil staff, who along with the Head Keeper, will ensure that you have a fantastic day. They will assist with getting guns to their pegs and ensure that the day runs safely and smoothly.
