This is a fun, friendly farm shoot with like-minded people who all want to have a day's sport. We are laid back and want to enjoy the day. The surroundings are like a little part of Devon in Hertfordshire as we drive the birds from valley to valley. We don't necessarily aim for high numbers of birds but we strive for high standards of sporting shooting.
Hospitality
Food and drink throughout the day including breakfast, elevensies and then a supper dinner at the local pub in Bovingdon. We like a little sloe gin and port in moderation during the day.
Topography
Woodland and valleys with some very picturesque drives. The woodland drives are home to woodcock.
About the hosts
Ben Lawes is an experienced gamekeeper who runs the shoot with family support. We have run many successful pheasant shoots and our laid back but dedicated attitude make this a perfect shoot for like minded people.
