This is an opportunity to shoot in one of the most beautiful areas in Hampshire. Family run, family hosted, relaxed, social occasions with pheasants, some sporting partridges, woodcock here and there, plus pigeon on offer, our shoot is all about giving our clients a different and memorable experience.
We shoot a number of days in the season but offer the best of our 80 to 100 bird days to visitors who will feel comfortable and challenged amongst 8 like minded guns. We have just refurbished our 17th Century farmhouse in great style (we think!) where we entertain afterwards with excellent fare and of course the important post shoot banter!
Our aim is for you to enjoy the day so much that you'll want to come back each year.
Hospitality
The family have been shooting here for more than 60 years, and traditionally the hospitality is as good, or better, than the shooting. However the shoot has been upgraded in recent years and is now better than ever. We love to entertain, and we are keen that our guests enjoy the full package including a long lunch by the fire in our shoot lodge. After all, what is not to like about tall stories of derring-do accompanied by great food, wine, friends and memories?
Topography
Set in and around the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant, in the heart of the Bourne Valley, we have a variety of drives, ranging from open fields, to valley sides, to high forested woodlands. Suitable for all ability levels. We shoot across 600 acres and have several drives to choose from.
About the hosts
The family have lived at Parsonage for over 60 years. Alasdair, who was born in the house, and Jane moved back here just over 3 years ago. The farm and the shoot has undergone extensive work and they are creating a diverse agri-business. They have 7 children, love field sports and are hoping that you will take home great memories through their magical days. The gamekeeper has worked with the family for over 30 years, one of the pickers-up is the hosts' brother in law who has been coming for 35 years and some of our guests have shot here since the early 1970's. It is rooted in tradition but the last few years have seen real innovation and improvements and this is what makes shooting at Parsonage Farm so special. Above all they want family, guests and visitors to be properly entertained.

Mr. Charlie Varley
Watching Alasdair and Jane manage their shoot - the putting down of birds, their release, and preparing challenging ways of driving them - is as absorbing as the shoot day itself. They set high standards, which they accomplish with flair, across every aspect of the day. An all round 10 out of 10.
