Hospitality

The Saint Frambault Manor has been completely restored into beautiful 5 star accommodation for guns. A talented interior designer, who knows how to mix contemporary and classic style, while using very natural materials: paneling wood of the property, natural ground, lime paints, coating straw and sand on the second floor, Jerusalem stone and glazed terracotta in the bathrooms. The food is fine dinging from start to finish from in house acclaimed chefs. The wine is generally Bordeaux: Pauillac, Saint Emilion or Saint Estephe from our cave according to the menu.

Topography

The ground has been laid out for shooting with planting over the years specifically for this purpose. With a mixture of terrain from rolling hills for showing our high pheasants to mature woodlands and belts for pushing birds high over the guns. Beautiful lakes host exciting duck shooting should guns want it.

About the hosts

The Goulaine family began their “love story” with England in the 12th century, when Jean de Goulaine won his coat of arms, half english armory, half french armory, by making peace between France and England. Over these 50 last years, the counts of Goulaine are now famous in Europe for their expertise in driven bird shooting. Made confident by their success on one of their family estate: Saint Frambault, they decided to launch a second sporting estate for driven pheasant: Le Château du Lude which is an exceptional castle in heart of the Loire Valley in France. The castle is owned by the count of Nicolaÿ, a famous french Senator.

Very nice place, charming with aristocratic hosts. Elegant and relaxing atmosphere, with brilliant birds and lots of good wine, we really had fun at St Frambault! Wish to now discover le Lude.

I have had the opportunity to shoot several times at saint Fraimbault where I've shot birds of an outstanding quality. Fast and extremely high and in big numbers. Their hospitality is also first class. The drives are very well managed thanks to an experienced team of staff. I highly recommend the shoot.
