Options: 1 day game shooting or all inclusive weekends (3days) Our top class hunts welcome groups of 4 to 12 guns, from Friday evenings to Monday mornings for prestigious weekends : Driven shooting, gala dinner in the Grand Library of the Chateau, barbecue lunches in the forest, clay pigeon shooting, prizes...
Hospitality
The Chateau can host up to 36 guests from a casual lunch to a prestigious gala dinner in 2 spacious dining rooms. We also have a hunting room where we welcome hunters in Wellington boots for coffee and croissants. For the stay we have partnerships with major hotels in our area from 2 to 5 stars Relais&Châteaux.
Topography
The Château de Lantheuil’s estate is situated in Normandy in the Bessin region; a magnificent wooded valley halfway between Caen and Bayeux. As the only sizable woodland between the forest of Cerisy-Balleroy and the forest of Saint-Gatien near Deauville, the Estate, composed of woods and agricultural land where flows a little river, forms an ideal and highly diverse terrain for game bird shooting.
About the hosts
The Chateau has belonged to the Turgot family since its construction in 1613. We are a very traditional family who's members along many centuries have occupied various major positions in the French administration. The Turgots came originally to France from Scandinavia and Scotland (Bruce & Stuart) and branches spread all over Europe to have ramifications in Germany, Scotland Ireland and Spain.
