Hospitality
A day at Teasses is about much more than the shooting, with warm Estate hospitality throughout. Guests are welcomed with morning coffee and freshly prepared breakfast rolls before heading into the field. Elevenses are served at one of our scenic Estate picnic spots, with homemade soup, warm venison empanadas, Estate charcuterie and sweet treats. Guns then return to Hall Teasses, our traditional shooting lodge, for a hearty two-course lunch before the afternoon’s sport. The day concludes with afternoon tea before departure.
Birds
The varied landscape at Teasses provides exciting and challenging sport throughout the day. Guns can expect high, fast and testing birds, with each drive offering something different. Woodland drives produce classic pheasants driven hard over the Guns from mature cover, while the Estate’s ponds provide exhilarating high sporting duck, often presenting fast and unpredictable shooting. Combined with open farmland, valleys and rolling Fife countryside, the variety of terrain creates memorable drives and quality sporting birds for Guns of all abilities.
Topography
Teasses benefits from a naturally varied topography that lends itself exceptionally well to driven sport. Rolling farmland, wooded banks, valleys, ponds and changes in elevation allow birds to be presented in very different ways throughout the day. Woodland drives produce fast, testing pheasants over mature cover, while open ground and steeper contours create opportunities for higher, more challenging birds. The Estate’s ponds and wetland areas add another dimension, with sporting duck driven strongly over the Guns. This mix of terrain gives each drive its own character and helps create a varied, memorable day in the field.
Conservation Efforts
Conservation sits at the heart of the way Teasses Estate is managed and is an important part of our sporting ethos. Organic farming, careful woodland management, wetland and pond conservation, hedgerow planting and wildlife-rich field margins all help create a diverse landscape for native species.
Game management works alongside this wider conservation programme, providing valuable habitat, winter cover and food sources for game and countless other birds, mammals and insects. This commitment has been recognised by Purdey, with Teasses receiving a Highly Commended award for its conservation work.
From ancient woodland and ponds to rough grassland and farmland margins, the Estate is managed with the long-term health and biodiversity of the countryside firmly in mind.
About the hosts
Your day at Teasses will be personally hosted by either Craig Cameron, our Estate Factor, or Jordan Ward, our highly experienced Head Gamekeeper, who will act as Shoot Captain for the day. From the welcome briefing through to the final drive, your host will ensure the day runs smoothly, safely and at the right pace, while making sure every Gun feels well looked after. Their knowledge of the Estate, its drives and its sporting traditions helps create a relaxed, professional and memorable day in the field.
Final thoughts
Teasses Estate, set in the rolling countryside of North East Fife, is a historic working estate shaped by farming, country sports, conservation and hospitality. Today, organic farming sits alongside driven game shooting, gardens, events and rural tourism. Over recent years, Teasses has carefully restored and developed its buildings, landscapes and gardens, including its 60-acre RHS Partner Garden and Victorian Walled Garden. Conservation is central to the Estate’s management, with woodland, ponds, hedgerows and field margins supporting wildlife and earning Teasses a Highly Commended Purdey conservation award. Its aim is simple: to remain a thriving, sustainable estate while protecting its heritage and landscape for future generations.

To start, Kenny the head keeper is an absolute gentleman that has the power to make anybody feel welcome. The estate is in a beautiful part of the country, and on a clear day you can see clear to the Angus Hills in the north and the sea in the east. The shoots are well managed and organised by the staff, and through the times I gave shot there I have never been disappointed. If you fancy a good few tips on arriving at your peg, I can always advise brining a wee bottle of whiskey to donate to Kenny and the Bothy on arrival.

An excellent shoot. Cracking team running the show, freidndly and generous. The estate is well maintained and the fact you can pretty much jump in the car between each peg is great for anybody with a bit of a mobility issue. Best duck shoot I have done. Will absolutely go again. Thanks Kenny et al
