The Old Church Shoot is a mixed bird driven shoot in the small town of Brightlingsea near the Essex and Suffolk border.
We shoot right from the sea wall all the way round to the iconic Old Church in some lovely Essex countryside.
Our main concern is that our guns have an enjoyable day and leave with great memories of the Shoot.
Hospitality
All guns will be provided with refreshments and lunch on the day, Plus you will have a cooked breakfast in the morning at 8am.
Topography
We have beautiful flat land from marsh lands near the creek through woodland up to the estuary.

Mr. Brian Oakley
This coming season will be my third, at The Old Church Shoot. I have shot at many shots up and down the country and have been very welcome and enjoyed the experience, but there is such a relaxed and friendly attitude at The old Church Shoot it allows you to perform wonders when on your peg, of course after that statement I am going to recommend The Old Church Shot and Liam Fearis the keeper

This has a beautiful backdrop for a fantastic days shooting from the flat sea wall area to the more rolling countryside near the church, producing some fantastic birds. Have also shot a lot of duck flights here and the teal pond on the edge of the estuary is some of the best sport I have had.
