Maplestead Game Shoot shoots over 1000 acres of arable land and woodland. The terrain of the ground really does produce some really fast French and English partridge and high flying pheasants.
The day consists of 100-200 bird days, guns to meet at the shoot room at 9 am with tea and coffee on arrival, pegs will be drawn about 9.30am, then we will make our way to the first drive. After two drives we will stop for a brief break with drinks and light snack provided, then a further two drives will be shot before heading back to the shoot room for lunch.
After lunch we will then head back out for a further 1-2 drives. After the day has finished we will head back to the shoot room for further drinks and all guns will be able to take a brace of birds home if they wish.

We visited Maplestead on 12 DEC 2012 and were made thoroughly welcome. On a bright, frosty morning it was difficult to get the birds to fly well (although there were plenty about), but Robert and his team worked tirelessly to achieve the target bag, with some great shooting had by all. This was our annual '4.10 Day' and after some initial trepidation everyone realised that even the Small Bores are more than 'Capable' in the right hands. Thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to shooting with you again. Thoroughly recommended!
